No residential eviction proceedings or foreclosure actions may be initiated during this time. You can also contact your utility providers directly to talk about flexible payment options. Dial 2-1-1 for additional resources.
Food Assistance Locations
Hoosiers can look at this map for nearby food pantries and meal sites. While you can pick up groceries at food pantries, meal sites provide ready-to-eat meals for families.
Child Care Options
While the state is currently under a “stay-at-home” order, some businesses are considered essential and continue to operate. Parents and guardians can visit childcarefinder.in.gov to find child care nearby or on the way to work.
Student Resources
All Indiana schools are closed for the rest of the academic year and will provide education through remote and e-learning. Parents can click here to access helpful resources offered by the Indiana Department of Education.
Small Business Loans
Small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives and nonprofits can receive up to $2 million in low-interest loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration‘s Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other bills that cannot be paid because of the disaster’s impact.
Tax Deadlines Extended
To help ease the financial burden many are currently feeling, state and federal tax deadlines have been extended. Individual tax returns and payments, along with estimated payments originally due April 15, are now due July 15.
Primary Election Postponed
To help limit contact with others and prevent the potential spread of COVID-19, the May primary is delayed until June 2, and all Hoosiers can opt to vote by mail. The new voter registration deadline is May 4.
